Prof. Gizem D. Acar is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology. She earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Bogazici University in 2010 and 2012, respectively. She received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2017, and worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Maryland until 2020. During his undergraduate years, he participated in research work on the "no-oar broadband wind turbine".
